His body of work\u2014mostly\u00a0<em>The Adventures of Tintin<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Quick and Flupke<\/em>\u2014has become mythical, and the subject of collections, of speculation, of exhibitions, of hundreds of scholarly studies, of thousands of articles and all kinds of artistic and cultural tributes. In France or in Belgium, universities have had a lot of trouble embracing\u00a0<em>bande dessin\u00e9e<\/em>. However, in the last few years, there has been a notable and growing interest for the ninth art, and in particular for Herg\u00e9\u2019s work, in higher education and research. From 17 to 20 May 2017, an international conference was held in Louvain-la-Neuve, at Universit\u00e9 catholique de Louvain and at Mus\u00e9e Herg\u00e9 [Herg\u00e9 Museum], to mark Herg\u00e9\u2019s 110<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday.
