His biggest achievement was the nuclear powered rocket in &#8220;Destination Moon&#8221; and &#8220;Explorers on the Moon&#8221; which took Tintin, Captain Haddock and other characters to the Moon and back.<br \/>\nA very ingenious invention of Professor Calculus was the Shark shaped submersible in the &#8220;Red Rackham&#8217;s Treasure&#8221;. What Professor Calculus had built was a shallow diving\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Submersible\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submersible<\/a>\u00a0with an endurance of two hours.
